Blackheath Montessori Centre was established in 1979 as a registered charity, taking over from a private nursery school which has been established for many years at the site. The Centre is run as a non-profit making enterprise, and we are a self-supporting organisation.

​We are based in the heart of Blackheath Village, tucked down a quiet private road; we are close to excellent transport links, which include buses and trains.

​

We have three classrooms mixed with children of different ages and abilities. Our teaching method is child-led, so the children are free to choose activities that interest them, and the teachers are there to support and guide them.

​

All our staff are well-qualified & friendly; they are first aid trained and have an enhanced DBS check.

​

We are focused on health and well-being, including both physical and mental health.

​

We have extracurricular activities included such as Music, Dance & Sports at no additional cost, with specialist teachers.
