Welcome to Blackheath Montessori Centre. We take pride in having a diverse team that includes experienced staff members working alongside our newer members of staff. 

 

Currently, we have seventeen members of staff at the nursery, which includes ten teaching staff, four of whom hold Montessori qualifications. Three of our staff members are former BMC students who, after gaining degrees, have chosen to return to the nursery and join our team; interestingly, they are working with teachers who taught them when they attended the nursery. 

 

Seven of our staff members hold undergraduate degrees in various subjects, whilst three have also completed Master's degrees, again in a variety of subjects that support the nursery activities. 

 

All of our teaching staff and our senior management team are trained in Paediatric First Aid and have essential safeguarding training, which is continuously updated. 

 

Alongside our Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy, we also have four further Designated Safeguarding Officers in the team. Furthermore, all staff members have enhanced DBS checks, and safer recruitment procedures are followed in line with the EYFS (1 September 2025).    Blackheath Montessori Centre, Montessori, Blackheath, London, SE3, SE3 9LF
