Prospective Parents Information
Blackheath Montessori Centre is registered with Ofsted, which is the official inspection body for schools.
We are very pleased to announce that our recent inspection in June 2016 has resulted in the nursery being graded as Outstanding.
Please have a look at our Ofsted report here to find out what the Inspector had to say about our setting.
We would like to thank all our parents, current, past and future, for all their support in helping us to achieve this result.
The Centre is a limited company and a registered charity; it is run as a non-profit making enterprise, and we are a self-supporting organisation. The primary source of income is fees, and the Centre depends on the co-operation of parents, particularly regarding prompt payment of fees, for its administrative efficiency and economic viability.
The Centre also runs fundraising events during the year, such as a Christmas raffle, Second-Hand Book Sale and so forth. We greatly appreciate parents’ support of these events, as all funds raised are used to provide equipment and toys for the children. In recent years donations from parents have enabled us to build an outdoor classroom in our playground.
It is compulsory for children to wear nursery uniform. We require the children to wear the school t-shirt or sweatshirt, along with easy bottoms such as tracksuit bottoms or leggings. Please visit https://www.yourschooluniform.com/schools/index/blackheath-montessori-centre-1884 to make a purchase.
